In Beijing J&C; meets Delsk and China’s leading law firm
Our German lawyer Christian has travelled to Beijing from 15th to 17th June 2016 to meet with the management team of China’s leading second residents company DELSK and with our future partner law firm Zhonglun W&D. DELSK offers investment packages, second residences and residence permit programs to Chinese and Thai investors. Zhonglun W&D is one of China’s most reputable law firms with offices in 17 cities countrywide and representing some of Chinas biggest corporations and state enterprises.
Christian met directors of DELSK and attended a seminar on one of DELK’s latest projects, a hotel project in Cyprus with extremely promising return on investment and the option to become a long-term resident in Cyprus and even to obtain an EU-passport. This is a very interesting option for Thai people who want to travel to Europe completely hassle-free: no Schengen- or national visa needed anymore, no cumbersome interviews with embassy officers.
Christian talked to DELSK directors about the options of Chinese investors to increase their investment security in Thailand after learning that Chinese investors are often concerned and deterred by the fact that certain restrictions apply to foreign ownership of real property in Thailand. Christian outlined the legal ways to invest in real property in Thailand and thus re-awakened the interest of Chinese investors in Thailand.
DELSK was founded in Germany and has a very young and dynamic team operating from its beautiful offices in Beijing and in many other locations worldwide. But what distinguishes DELSK most importantly is that they have very competent regional research teams constantly monitoring real estate markets and jurisdictions to identify the most attractive investment opportunities and the respective regulatory framework regarding real estate on one hand and immigration rules on the other hand.
Medical tourism is another business segment of DELSK. Thailand as a global medical hub is an increasingly interesting destination for medical tourists.
After his meeting with DELSK Christian met Dr. Wen Chen of Zhonglun W&D Law Firm who is the Founding Partner of the firm. Christian discussed different options of cooperation and explored synergies between the two law firms. Dr. Chen and Christian agreed that a Cooperation Agreement should be signed soon and a subsequent meeting will take place. Dr. Chen also invited Juslaws & Consult to become a member of its network Global Legal Alliance (GLA), a network of some of the world’s best law firms in different jurisdictions on all continents.
